Hello Hello beautiful ones! How is everyone doing this beautiful, cold Sunday afternoon? I am doing well, thanks for asking, lol. It’s a long weekend in South Africa, that means there is no work till Tuesday YAY! My weekend has been pretty much the same, I was at work yesterday and I’m at church today, continuing with an amazing conference that ends today. Church brings me joy!

Earlier this week I celebrated Freedom day with my dear friend KurveKut . She was so kind to allow me to steal a few shots at her photo shoot. It was so much fun and I am so humbled that she let me be part of it.

Some of you may already know the immense love I have for Zimbabwean designer Tanya Nefertari and her amazing work. I especially love her work because of they way she uses colorful, bold prints; I am a print lover myself. Apart from this awesome red number in the pics, I own another of her pieces, a dress from the White Blossom Collection. There is just something unique and exciting about her pieces and that’s why I got this blazer. Yes! I called it a blazer lol! If you want to know why then ask Tanya.

This blazer is from the Zip Up Jacket Collection and I first fell in love with it when I saw it on her Snapchat. I just knew that the blazer was mine. As soon as I laid my eyes on it, I immediately saw myself rocking many different outfits with it; it really was love at first sight. I love everything about it, the color, the print, the fit and also the way it makes me feel when I put it on, pure joy!

The blazer goes with pretty much anything, adding a little something extra and exciting because of the color and the print. I wore a navy blue polo neck, with a pair of blue ankle grazers and nude pumps. I have been enjoying my ginger hair. It looks absolutely stunning in the sun and I’m sure you will agree it went well with this outfit as well.

There’s always a story behind almost all my clothes, so here is another. This one is short. I promise, lol. The ankle grazers that I love so much because of their amazing fit and they way they look on me are the main character of this story. I had been walking in and out of Mr Price looking for my size but they never had my size. Then one day, when I had completely given up on them, I walked into the store and BAM! there they were, in my size! My heart was filled with so much joy I almost cried, such a beautiful moment. I picked them up and they’ve featured in my outfits every since. I finished off the look with a pair of classic sunglasses and simple gold jewelry.

The photos were taken at one of my favourite parks in Johannesburg by Madelein Nieuwoudt. It was a beautiful day.  I got to rock my Tanya Nefertari blazer and take some photos in beautiful weather, what more could a girl ask for. For someone who was told last minute about being part of the shoot I did quite well with the poses no? lol!  If you’d like to see more of Tanya Nefertari’s work check her out on Instagram : nikko_frikko .
