Hello beautiful ones! Its the weekend BABY! LOL! What are your plans? Are you doing anything exciting and interesting? Feel free to share with me in the comments section. I was busy at work yesterday and today I will be in church like I am every Sunday, I am excited!
I am sure by now most of you know how much I love the camera and how I love photos. Well if you didn’t know, now you know. It hasn’t always been this way, lol. When I was much younger my dad loved taking photos and capturing moments of my siblings and I. He always had a camera close to him. I remember how much I used to love posing for photos back then lol. I was always ready for photos, always! I didn’t care if I had taken a bath or not or if clothes were dirty and my feet ashy. I was always ready to pose lol.
When I entered my teenage year this started changing a little bit. There was actually a time in my life I could not stand looking at myself in the mirror and I avoided taking photos during that time. The Word of God really strengthened me, I am not even going to lie. Several morning exercises that included me looking at myself in the mirror and telling myself “I am fearfully and wonderfully made, I am beautiful” helped me to see me for me. To see myself the way I was created, fearfully and wonderfully. I am so grateful for that.
So let’s fast forward to 2016 , I love, love, LOVE looking at myself in the mirror and taking photos. It actually makes me happy. I take photos everyday to be honest, lol. You don’t want to know how many photos I have of myself on my phone. Let me say my life is actually a testimony and I try my best to always share my experiences with people. You never know when something you said could be helping someone else, so testify!
I have been having few photo shoots in my spare time and I would like to share some of those with you. Madelein, my photographer called me a few weeks ago to ask me to model for her so she could try out black and white photos. Was I excited? Ha! Of course I was excited and I showed up dressed for the occasion. She asked me not to wear anything but white and just keep it really simple, so this is the outfit I came up with. The royal blue blazer is one of my favourite pieces of clothing and I am sure you don’t have to guess why. The colour is amazing! It is also very comfortable and warm, I love blazers. I wore boyfriend jeans and a simple pair of comfortable blue shoes to match the blazer. Do I look better in colour or in black and white? What do you think?
We hadn’t picked a venue yet so we decided to keep it close to home and take a walk around the Sandton CBD and boy did we find some good spots. I would just like to mention I walked around with the “high” heels on the whole time, lol that was winning for me. It was all so very exciting. I have shared a few of my favourite shots with you in this post. Keep scrolling for more photos. Goodbye! Till next time and remember you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
