Hello beautiful ones! How is everyone doing on this rather warm Thursday afternoon? The weather is changing here in South Africa and I am enjoying it, winter is almost over *twirls* We are heading into spring pretty soon and of course I am excited lol, what do I not get excited about? I have been very busy these past few weeks that I didn’t even have time to do a Blogiversary post. Yes! MoreGraca turned 1 year old on the 16th of August. I was happy, excited and extremely emotional. Congratulations to Chris Mpululu who was the winner of my #MoreGracaTurns1 giveaway. He won two tickets to a show during Fashion Week Johannesburg Spring/Summer. I met up with him before the show and I could feel the excitement. I hope you had a great time.

I remember the day I launched my baby like it was yesterday. After many years of “thinking” about it and planning it without action and with the support of family and friend I jumped right into it. I had started working on my first blog post weeks before launch day and I moved slowly but surely. On D Day I was still trying to figure out wordpress and my blog post disappeared LOL so  I cried. After crying I decided I wouldn’t launch on that day but I started typing again and my mum was by my side the whole time. It took time to explain to her what I was busy working on but she encouraged me as I typed. It was amazing.

My journey has been a very sweet, interesting one and I have gained so much knowledge. I have learnt about blogging and also a lot about myself. I am definitely more patient and I never considered myself creative but I come up with some pretty awesome work, way to go Grace! The list of what I have learnt is a pretty long one and I could go on forever. One more thing I’d like to mention is that my confidence has reached some serious highs, yes! My blog helped me with my confidence. I am so proud of my blog, my baby and I love talking about it to different people lol.

Earlier this month my brother took me to Northcliff Eco Park for the first time. We were there for a little while and I was so amazed and I remember not wanting to leave at that moment. It has the most amazing view ever. One can perfectly see a beautiful skyline on one side and Johannesburg suburbs on the other side. If I had my own way, I would go there everyday. It is a great place to watch the sunrise and the sunset. If you are in Johannesburg or are visiting Johannesburg please make time to go check it out, you won’t regret it.

For my blogiversary photos I decided to go back to the eco park with a beautiful young lady called Gabrielle to take my photos. Being up there always gets me extremely emotional. I sat on a rock up there and thought back on where MoreGraca came from. I had tears in my eyes and so much joy and gratitude to God. God is really good. If it weren’t for Him where would I be? He strengthens me everyday. While Gabby was taking pictures we took some time in between to talk and we spoke about everything God has done for us. At one point I stood on the rock and said to Gabby “look at this, look at what God did. He created all this and He created you and me, how can we fail?” There are times I closed my eyes and smiled to myself, it was a beautiful moment.

I made sure I was dressed comfortably because the cliff is very rocky and I just wanted to be comfortable and be free. My outfit was very simple: pair of blue jeans, a white shirt, a thrifted coat, a hat to match the coat and a pair of sneakers.

We stayed at the ecopark to watch the breath taking sunset and left even though we didn’t want to leave. I’d like to thank everyone who encouraged me and still does, everyone who follows my blogs and takes time to read, comment and share. I really appreciate that, keep following!

Are you thinking about starting a blog? You don’t know where to start? You’re afraid that it might not work out. You have nothing to lose, go for it! The world needs what you have to offer, someone out there needs what you have to offer. Don’t be afraid, share your knowledge with the world. It won’t all happen in a day, like life it is a journey, your journey…so enjoy it.  I made it! You can make it too. Keep scrolling for more pics. Until next time beautiful ones, bye!
