Hello beautiful ones of the Most High! I trust you are all well and had a good weekend. I had a super hectic weekend lol. It was rather packed but awesome nonetheless. On Friday night I met up with a friend for a quick catch up and we had the most interesting conversations, it was so enlightening. Saturday morning was spent at work then I went home, did some laundry then ended the night attending a gathering I was invited rather last minute but because I am a liker of things and trying to get out more I honoured the invitation. Many people don’t like to believe that I am a shy person but I really am, lol. I am not as good in social settings as I used to be. One of my goals this year is to get out more, I think I am doing pretty well in that regard so far.

On Twitter I follow many different people from different countries and different walks of life. Sometimes I meet up with the people I interact with and through this I have made some great connections as well as friendships, it’s not just Twitter after all. I recently met one of my faves on Twitter, Papa Jean-Pierre. Many people will know him by his Twitter handle @_Wammy or his real name Tham, which is short for Thamsanqa. Not only did I meet Tham but I also got to meet his younger brother Nkosilathi, the young man with an amazing voice. I am such a fan of both these young gentlemen. Tham and I met through another friend I made through social media, everyone give it up for GODDYYYYY (Captain_FBS) lol!

It’s Monday and this is a Monday Male Feature post of Tham and Nkosilathi, let’s get right into it shall we? Please note our outfits were not planned at all, lol.

Hi Male Feature …..tell us something about yourself

We are two brothers (Thamsanqa Dube & Nkosilathi Dube) currently based in Cape Town, South Africa. Together we go by the name Black With White Stripes which is our stage name, as musicians.

Nkosi: My name is Nkosilathi Dube. I live in Cape Town, South Africa, and I’m a singer/songwriter and producer.

Ah, nice! How would you describe your style?

Tham: The best way to describe my style is casual yet occasionally over the top.

Nkosi: I think my style leans more to the plain, and colorful side of the 90s but that only applies for hoodies, T-shirts and socks. I’m almost always wearing dark toned jeans and some comfortable sneakers.

What or who inspires or influences your style?

Tham: My style is influenced by the street culture we are exposed to as musicians as well as other entertainers that are known for trendsetting.

Nkosi:I am strongly influenced by the whole of the 90s hip hop era. Seeing how fresh rappers and dancers looked in colorful sweaters and shirts is so cool to me.

The one thing every man should have….

Tham: Lol that’s a tough one but I would say chapstick and hand cream. Dry lips and ashy hands aren’t a good look.

Nkosi: One thing every man should have is responsible confidence. Everyone around him will love him as much as he loves himself. With that, he will always look effortlessly cool regardless of what he’s wearing because he feels good!

What are some of your closet favourites?

Tham: My floral shirts, sneakers and my 3/4 length pants.

Nkosi: I go crazy every time I see my shoes because I think they complete your outfit. Ever since I was young, shoes have always been an addiction to me. Right now, my favorites are a pair of duck green suede Old Skool Vans that I just got. I had been wanting to get them for a very long time.

Many thanks, cheers (cheesy I know lol) and shout outs to Black With Stripes – Tham and Nkosi for taking time out to answer my questions and for agreeing to meet me, the fun photoshoot and all the laughs. I really appreciate it.

Please do take some time out to listen to their music, thank me later and keep watching them rise, I am so excited for them. Check out Black With White Stripes on SoundCloud and on itunes – Black With White Stripes .  And my fave song by Nkosi ”Infatuated” his voice is amazing and I cannot get over it!  Keep scrolling for more pictures.
